About Us and Joe Persiconi

Joe Persiconi was born in 1945 in the town of Castro dei Volsci, Italy (wiki).  The middle of three children, Joe learned all about hard work and dedication while working on his parents' farm.  With a population of only a few thousand, Joe knew he'd have to travel to build a career for himself.  At the young at of sixteen, Joe moved nearly 70 miles away to the city of Rome to earn his diploma from a masonry school located there.

For the following year, surrounded by the history and architecture of Rome, Joe worked as a mason.  Living in the big city, Joe still returned home each month to visit and lend a hand working on the family farm.  Seeking even better opportunities, Joe soon  traveled to Germany and worked for eight months as a mason in the city of Munich and the town of Lindenberg.

At just twenty years old, Joe took all the money he saved and relocated to North America in Windsor, Ontario.  With $64 to his name, barely enough for two weeks' rent, Joe arrived in Canada on a Friday and began working the next Monday.  For three years, Joe worked in Windsor until he met his wife Adine and moved to the United States to be with her.

Joe and Adine married in 1968 and began raising a family.  In 1971, Joe formed his first partnership, Brand Construction and by 1981 he incorporated Persiconi Construction Co., Inc.  Over the last 25 years, Persiconi Construction has grown from doing small scale jobs to building large development projects recognizable by most South East Michigan residents.  But the company's success hasn't driven them away from those small projects that helped them build their reputation for quality work and fair prices.  Big enough to deliver but small enough to care, Persiconi is proud to help local business owners with everything from their retention walls to their new 70,000 sq. ft. distribution center.

Ever grateful for the opportunities that he was blessed with, Joe is constantly giving back to the community.  Since 1989, Joe has volunteered his time as a Reserve Officer for the Dearborn Heights Police Department.   For the past four years, Joe has served as President of the Italian-American Fraternal Club in Dearborn.  His past positions at the IAFC included Council Member, Council President and Vice-President.

Family life being Joe's primary motivator, he and Adine are the proud parents of two children, David and Jodi and the proud grandparents of two grandsons; Nikolai and Joseph.   Anyone who has known Joe since he working in construction has heard him say that what keeps him going is his love of his family and his desire to provide for them.  And whenever the demands of running his own company allow, Joe flies back to that little farm in Casto del Volsci where it all started....
